This week...much like any other week...has had it's share of ups and downs. I have been trying to get over this cold that has attacked me, not in a full out way, but more like a blood-sucker...just daily zapping the life out of me...not enough to make me feel totally out of commission but certainly enough to make me feel like the smallest tasks are huge obstacles...
I'm sure however that, even though I have been lacking for energy, that I did NOT take any short cuts or shirk on any of my homemaking duties. I certainly wouldn't have planned to do 4 or 5 things everyday but after completing one of those ordinary task "reward" myself with a rest on the couch....for the rest of the day.
Also, I would NOT have realized after Tobi's pants were on that I had forgotten to snap the onesie and just let her walk around tails out all day...and I could NOT have been too lazy to find ther other slipper and just let my daughter walk around like "diddle, diddle, dumpling..." (you know the rest), because obviously even when we are just home alone we are both ALWAYS bathed, dressed to the nines, and prepared for any unexpected visitors.
And the thing I am most proud to say that I did NOT do was due to the fact that I have restless legs that prevent me from sleeping sometimes. I may have gotten up after wrestling the sleep fairy for an hour or more and I may have picked up the down comforter off the floor, but I certainly did NOT take one step on the stairs catch my foot on the blanket and bang and bump my way all the way to the bottom of our very unforgiving, uncarpeted, unpadded, wooden stairs. If this had happened I would NOT have banged so loudly that my husband, who never woke up for six months of a baby screaming to be fed in the same room, bolted out of bed and came running to make sure I had not killed or seriously injured myself. I'm glad I did NOT do that because if I had I would probably have a gigantic bruise on my hip and backside!
These are just a few of the things I did NOT do this week...join in the
